rigid construction of the bed, which is hardened to over 50Rc and precision
ground, provides for heavy turning with high accuracy

The main
spindle is supported by preloaded high precision bearings that ensure
consistent and accurate turning through the entire speed range

The headstock spindle,
shaft, and gears are made from alloy steel, hardened and then ground which allows
higher speed turning at lower sound levels

A
metered automatic lubrication system with low-level alarm provides oil to machine
slide ways and X and Z axis ball screws

|
High
precision ball screws are mounted in precision bearings, which ensures long
life, superior cutting performance and great accuracy

|
|
Machines
are designed with a full-length rear splashguard, and front moving chip
guards with observation windows. This provides a safe, clean work area. The
rear splashguard also has a removable panel for easy access and maintenance
|

|
X and Z
axis are fitted with Manual Pulse Generator (MPG) hand wheel which allows
easy manual movement of both axes
|
|
|
The
powerful inverter motor for the machine spindles is equipped with an
all-digital Yaskawa inverter for peak performance
|
|
|
Machines
are equipped with a 3 speed (2 speed for 1550) headstock for maximum power
and torque over the entire speed range
|
|
|
Constant
surface speed turning, threading, and tapping are standard features
