Willis-Bergonzi 40 taper bridge-type cnc vertical machining centers are constructed with an extremely rigid structure. These CNC machining centers provide large cross run figures while allowing these bridge-type VMC's to maintain extreme compactness when compared to their runs. Willis-Bergonzi 40 taper vertical machining centers provide electric panel boxes, equipment and accessories installed, with cables and pipings passing through the inside of the structure, in protected positions. As with Willis- Bergonzi Radial Drills, these bridge-type machining centers maintain the traditional Bergonzi quality of manufacturing.

The structure of these high quality machining centers for sale is made of quality castings, abundantly ribbed and reinforced to ensure stability during operation. The guideways on these bridge-type machining centers are oversized in order to obtain low specific loads. Machined from a solid casting, these machining center guideways are thermally treated and ground. Anti-friction plastic and forced lubrication is provided to mating surfaces. These CNC bridge-type machining centers include re-circulating ballscrews that are placed symmetrically to the guideways and driven by high torque AC brushless servo motors. Rotary type measuring systems are directly coupled to the ballscrews of these CNC VMC's (linear measuring system is optional). The splashguard on these bridge-type machining centers is designed to completely envelop the machining zone and contain chips and coolant, nevertheless the splashguard on these machining centers is fully open able to permit an easy loading and unloading of bulky parts.
