The “Willis” PK 40120-10 big bore conventional lathe is great for the oil country. Our hollow spindle, geared head lathes are designed to meet the demanding requirements of today’s oil industry.
They are used primarily for turning and threading oil field parts. Examples include, drill pipe, wash pipe, pins, and casing connectors used in the energy industry. They are also great for machining large diameter tubes, shafts and cutting a wide range of inch or metric threads, A.P.I. tapered, modular, or diametric.
The universal gear box provides a full range of threads and feeds. Also, the “Willis” lathes will carry out boring applications, machine tapered holes and external cylindrical surfaces, like pipe. These machines feature large spindle bores with front and rear mounted chucks. These lathes are designed for maximum performance in heavy production operations.
