“Willis” Radial Drilling Machine Features:
- Hardened and ground steel gears run in oil bath
- Spindle and quill are made from hardened and ground alloy steel
- Spindle return tension is easily adjustable through a return spring
- Double wall column with oversize bearing for easy rotation and maximum stiffness
- Power-feed rates are easily selected and can be changed while spindle in running
- Limit switches are used to prevent over travel with power-feed
- Arm is raised and lowered by separate motor with safety nut for protection
- Limit switches prevent arm over travel
- Hardened steel wear strip for top of arm ways allows smooth head travel
- Flood coolant with sump with T-slots on top and side surfaces
- Fluorescent work light

“Willis Machinery” has been selling radial drills since 1963 and the “Bear” radial drill series for more than 20 years. The “Willis Bear” radial drills range from the RD-750 “Little Bear” through four sizes to the largest, the RD-1700H model.
The RD-750 and RD-1100 are manual clamping machines, and the RD-1300H and the 1700H are hydraulic clamping machines. The “Willis” radial drill models have arm lengths of 30”, 45”, 51” and 66” respectively. The RD-1300 and RD-1700H have a five “Morse” taper spindle (5MT), and the other models feature a 4 “Morse” taper (4MT) spindle.
“Willis Bear” radials are consistently in stock and are supported by an extensive inventory of replacement parts.
